The Maranatha Christian Center began services in June 1993 on Nightingale Street in Pinehurst, Texas with nothing but a building. Congregation members donated a pulpit and piano and the National Guard loaned us chairs. Word of mouth advertising packed the church at the first service. The church continued to grow and new facilities were needed.
Construction on the new church seen above began in August of 2004. Thanks to God and our congregation the church was completely paid for and in May of 2005 we held our first service.
Our Pastor, Reverend Bob Simmons, has been teaching and preaching God's Word for over 62 years.
